Eligibility requirements for borrowing airtime with Airtel Berako

Before you can be allowed to borrow airtime on Airtel in Uganda using Airtel Berako there are certain eligibility requirements you need to meet. Some of these requiments include:

• Having an Airtel sim card that is fully registered
• Being an active prepaid customer and must have bought a minimum airtime of 800 in the past month.
• Not having any outstanding balance. That is, if you borrowed money before, you must have paid it back before you can borrow again
• Having an Airtel sim that has been active for at least 90 days

How to borrow airtime on Airtel in Uganda

One of the easiest way you can borrow airtime from Airtel if you are in Uganda is by using the Airtel Berako loan service.

With this service, you can simply borrow airtime and pay it back the next time you recharge your sim card.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how you can borrow airtime on Airtel in Uganda using Airtel Berako:

• Simply dial *155# on your phone
• You will be provided with a list of amount of airtime you can borrow. Simply press a number of your choice and click “Ok.”
• Your account will then be credited immediately with the amount of airtime you want which is based on the number you chose

Limitations of borrowing airtime on Airtel in Uganda

While Airtel service in Uganda allows customers to borrow airtime whenever they are in need of it, it is important to note that there is a limit to the amount of you can borrow at a particular period of time.

The different amounts of airtime you borrow range from Ugx 500 to Ugx 1000, Ugx 2000, Ugx 5000 and Ugx 10,000. However, your ability to borrow more depends largely on how frequently you recharge your Airtel sim and how much you recharge each time you do so.
